The multidisciplinarity of expertise, numerous facilities, various research laboratories, aquaculture lab, state-of-the-art equipment, and dedicated marine teaching and research boat all make Rimouski a stimulating and opportunity-rich environment for the guest researchers, students, and postdoctoral fellows who enjoy living and working in this exceptional environment.

To provide the means of calculation methods necessary in modern oceanographic research, ISMER has acquired a high performance computer. It also has the very latest equipment for photochemistry, particle analysis, and geology, namely an electron microscope and cryogenic magnetometer.
